End-to-End Media Literacy Services
Through its own structure and through affiliate organizations, the Consortium for Media Literacy can offer a full range of support services to deliver effective programs on time and within budget. The Consortium for Media Literacy welcomes all relationships and funding programs that advance the cause of media literacy using a compatible philosophy of empowerment through education.
Program Development
We start where you are. Our media literacy programs are designed to fit seamlessly into your organization. As dedicated partners, we work closely with your team to develop a customized media literacy program grounded in our evidence-based framework. Our mission is to empower your organization to cultivate informed media consumers and producers through a proven system that is effective anytime, anywhere.
Teacher Continuing Education
University professors and K-12 teachers trust CML to add valuable knowledge and practical media literacy education experience that they can bring directly into their classrooms. We offer customized trainings that satisfy state requirements while offering educators a flexible, modular system that they can utilize in any subject or grade level.
Youth Media Education
Media literacy education can be customized for the needs of youth from pre-school to young adulthood. The Consortium’s hands-on workshops have been implemented in the traditional classroom, as well as at youth clubs, camps and more.
Public Speaking
As media continues to evolve, coordinators of conferences and meetings of all types have found that inviting a media literacy practitioner to present always sparks interest and encourages attendance. From education to science to journalism to the arts, media literacy is always a timely and engaging topic.
Societal Resilience
Governments are more interested than ever in media literacy as a tool to make citizens resilient to disinformation and malicious propaganda from state and non-state actors. Media literacy also builds citizens who are able to think critically and sift through confusing messages that can affect mental and physical health. From NATO to the US State Department to NGOs, The Consortium has served as a trusted partner in building stronger, healthier societies.
